Exodus 4:13
A lie believed as truth will affect you as if it were true.
I’m not good enough.
The enemy will make you feel inadequate.
"I can't wait to hear our pastor preach today. He's so perfect."
"Young man, please take me back down the stairs. I'm going home."
The greatest weapon the enemy uses is a lie.
Exodus 4:10 “Oh, Lord, I’ve never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I’m slow of speech and tongue.”
Exodus 4:13 “Oh, Lord, please send someone else to do it.”
1. We base our self-worth on what others say about us.
But many people didn't grow up in an environment like that.
Insecurities and anxiety consumed you.
2. We believe that our worth is based on our past experiences.
"There I go again, losing, being branded as a failure."
"You know what? You'll never amount to anything in ministry."
Many people in our culture today have experienced abuse in several forms.
Exodus 4:11 “The Lord said to Moses, “Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight, or makes him blind? Is it not I, the Lord?’”
“Now go, Moses, and I will help you speak and teach you what to say.”
“But Moses said, ‘Oh, Lord, help me out. Please send someone else.’”
You are who God says you are.
You replace them with truth.
We remind ourselves what God says about us.
#1. Christ calls you.
1 Peter 5:10 “It is in God’s kindness that God called you to His eternal glory.”
2You were unworthy, but because of Him, you are worthy.
“Come to Me all who are weary and heavy-laden and burdened and worn out. I’ll give you rest.”
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
#2. Remind yourself that you are capable through Christ.
Romans 8:37 “We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus who loved us.”
"Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world!"
2 Corinthians 3:4-5 “Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God.”
#3. You are complete in Christ.
2 Peter 1:3 “God’s divine power has given you everything that you need.”
There's only one thing that completes you, and it is found in Jesus Christ.
When the enemy tells you what you're not, you tell him who you are, complete in Jesus Christ.
3“My capability comes through Christ Jesus, not my power, but His power.”
Colossians 2:9-10 “For in Christ, all the fullness of the deity lives in bodily form and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.”
