A LIE BELIEVED AS TRUTH WILL AFFECT YOU AS IF IT WERE TRUE.
Information can change your mind, but only truth can change your life.
What is shaping my heart?
What lies have I believed so long they feel normal?
Jesus didn’t say, “So you may know the truth, and the truth will make you comfortable.”
You break the chains by abiding in the truth.
Truth is not something God uses—truth is who God is.
1. The First Lie and the Old Strategy
Today, Satan’s strategy hasn’t changed:
2. The Nature of Lies
John 8:44 – “When Satan lies, he speaks his native language.”
Jesus didn’t say, “I teach the truth.”He said, “I am the truth.”
You were never saved by being good enough. You were saved because Jesus was the perfect sacrifice.
“To stay put”…“to wait without leaving”…“to remain under something.”
Jesus’s command is not to try harder. It’s an invitation to stay connected.
Abiding isn’t about effort, it’s about attachment.
Abiding always leads to something:
John 8:36 “And if the Son has set you free, you will be free indeed!”
Freedom isn’t behavior modification—it’s transformation.
Abiding leads to intimacy with God
Abiding is havingfaith over time.
You don’t produce fruit by trying harder. You produce fruit by staying connected.
Jeremiah 29:13—"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
John 8:34 – “Everyone who sins is a slave to sin.”
Ephesians 4:25—Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
Paul says, “PUT OFF and PUT ON.”
The question isn’t just:“Do you know the truth?”
The question is “Are you willing to live in it?”
