John 5:1-9
Most of us want to succeed and do what's right in life.
A confused person does the same old thing repeatedly, expecting
different results each time.
Psalm 118:24 "This is the day which the Lord has made; we
will rejoice and be glad in it."
Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always; and again, I say,
Rejoice."
#1. Lameness - to be or not to be.
There are many things in life that we do not understand.
1 Corinthians 13:12 (NIV) "Now we see but a poor reflection
as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in
part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known."
Proverbs 27:1 (NIV) "Do not boast about tomorrow, for you
do not know what a day may bring forth."
You can be transformed through power of Christ.
1"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we
used when we created them."
#2. Faith sees what I can't see.
Far too many people decide to give up just before God moves on
their behalf.
You'd be surprised what would happen if we hung in there!
Jesus didn't ask the man why he was in this predicament.
"Do you want to be healed?"
#3. Move as God wills.
This man had the heart for a miracle.
"There is hope, and today may be the day."
He made a choice to act on the healing he had received.
"Get up and walk."
Start moving forward in whatever way you can.
What is your first step toward a better life?
Being made whole is a process.
2You've got to decide now to move them out of your life.
Something worse would be if this were able to walk, but his life
remained empty and meaningless.
He wants to change you.
Be prepared to do what Jesus tells you to do.
