Hebrews 12:1-2

We have these little things in life that operate much the same way.

Keep us from knowing the freedom of walking closely with Jesus.

Needless distractions and misplaced priorities.

You can be close to God.

#1. Identify That Which Slows You Down.

"The sin that so easily entangles."

It can close in on you until life feels unmanageable.

They keep you from running the race freely.

That's why we need to evaluate our priorities and how we spend our time.

"Martha, Martha ... you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."

(Luke 10:41-42)

Does this deserve the priority I've given it?

#2. Toss Aside That Which Needs to be Tossed Aside.

You can't run the race burdened with extra weight.

These things will no longer be part of my day.

Allow yourself to be a vessel ready to be used for God's greater good.

Resist the devil, he will flee from you. (James 4:7)

#3. Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

Jesus is the one who leads the way.

He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6)

"Your Christian life starts with Jesus and it ends with Jesus, so make everything about Jesus. Keep your eyes on Him."

If you want to walk in victory, keep your eyes on Jesus.

Keep your eyes on Him.
