ALL In

Luke 7:36-39

To completely commit yourself to a task or goal.

Leaving nothing behind.

We are all invited into God’s family.

But we never laugh in church; it’s not proper.

Jesus invites the people that others reject.

The Pharisees could not figure Jesus out.

They would distance themselves from sinners.

“Who’s who of Pharisees”

Luke 7:37 “When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume.”

How could she have hope?

Why is this moment so significant to observe?

Luke 7:38 “And as she stood behind Him, at His feet weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them, and poured perfume on them.”

Luke 7:39 “When the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself, ‘If this man were a prophet, He would know who is touching Him and what kind of woman she is; she is a sinner.’”

Luke 7:40 “Simon, I have something to tell you. ‘Tell me, Teacher,’ he said.”

“Jesus said, you see this woman? I came into your house, and you didn’t give Me any water for My feet. She wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.”

Luke 7:48 “Your sins are forgiven. You are accepted. Though culture and society may have rejected you your entire life, the Son of God has forgiven you and accepted you into the family of the Lord.”

Jesus died on the cross to save whoever will if they repent.

Matthew 11:28(a) “Come to Me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:29-30 “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me. I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”

What did impact her was the invitation to know the Son of the Living God.

The word he uses is “compel” them to come.

You are invited to join the healer, the redeemer, and the deliverer.
