Listen to the Message

Colossians 1:15-23
How to live a Christian life in a non-Christian environment.
1. Jesus is your source of strength.
  • You are connecting with the God of the universe.
  • Jesus is supreme.
  • To give us strength to live.
  • Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory.... (Ephesians 3:20-21)
  • With Jesus in your life, you cannot lose.
  • His power is greater than that of any other in heaven and earth.
  • It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. (Psalm 18:32)
2. He can hold your life together when it seems to be falling apart.
  • No one has everything completely together 100% of the time.
  • If you turn to Jesus.
  • Regardless of the cause of the chaos in your life, Jesus can hold it together.
  • If He can keep the universe under control, He can control the chaos of your day-to-day life.
  • You don't have to face the future without Him.
  • If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all
  • unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
  • "No...those were the times I carried you."
  • He can hold things together even when your world is falling apart.
3. He can give you peace with God and with yourself.
  • "One day of peace."
  • The good news is that Jesus wants to fill your life with peace.
  • Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)
  • I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)
  • He begins by giving you peace with God.
  • He also gives you peace with yourself.
  • You can live today knowing that God has made everything right.
  • When you accept His forgiveness, it becomes possible to forgive yourself.
  • It means that His power is available to you
  • "How? How do I experience God's strength in my life?"
  • You only have to ask.
