O Love That Will Not Let Me Go

Listen to the Message

Psalm 139

I love that wilt not let me go
I rest my weary soul in thee;
I give back the life I owe,
That in thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.

“The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭16:6‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬

He knew something about failure, heartache, disappointment, betrayal and regret.

1. God’s Light Can Pierce The Darkest Darkness.
  • O light that followest all my way, I yield my flickering torch to thee; My heart restores its borrowed ray, That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day may brighter, fairer be.
  • During your dark and difficult days, there is a light that will shine in the darkness.
2. God’s Ear Is Always Within The Sound Of Your Voice.
  • “......he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭116:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/1/psa.116.1-2.
  • “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:20‬ ‭NIVUK‬‬ https://www.bible.com/113/mat.28.20.nivuk
  • God is always near, and He will always hear.
  • This is the time more than any other that we don’t rely on our feelings.
3. God’s Hand Is Always Within Your Reach.
  • You can reach out to God and let Him take you by the hand.
  • I joy that seekest my through pain, I cannot close my heart to thee; I trace the rainbow through the rain, And feel the promise is not vain, that morn shall tearless be.
  • You will never know that God is all you need until there’s a time when God is all you have.
  • I cross that lightest up my head, I dare not ask to fly from thee; I lay in dust life’s glory dead, And from the ground there blossoms red life that shall endless be.
