O Master Let Me Walk With Thee

Listen to the Message
{podcast O Master Let Me Walk With Thee}
Galatians 6:9
He felt like a failure in ministry and a failure in life.
O Master let me walk with thee
In lowly paths of service free
Tell my Thy secret, help me bear
The strain of toil, the fret of care.
I’ve tried and tried and tried......
We all get discouraged from time-to-time.
There’s a way to power through these days of disappointment.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭
1. Focus on the good you do, rather than the good you hope to get.
  • Focus more on sowing and less on reaping.
  • What motivates me more the work or the reward?
  • The more passion you have for the process of sowing
  • We’re called to serve more than we are called to succeed.
  • In God’s economy, we are measured more by our faithfulness than by our results.
  • Ask God to give you a passion for the labor itself.
  • The more passion you have for the labor itself the less likely you are to give in to soul fatigue.
2. Focus on God’s proper timing rather than your preferred timing.
  • At the proper time.
  • God will not use you before the proper time and He will not bless you before the proper time.
  • Teach me Thy patience; still with Thee
  • In closer dearer company
  • In work that keeps faith sweet
  • The fulfillment of God’s promises are never a question of if, they’re only a matter of when.
  • Habakkuk 2:3
3. Focus on who you are walking with rather than what you’re waiting for.
  • Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.  Galatians 5:25
  • It’s about living in His presence.
  • “‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬ ‭
  • The solution to soul fatigue is found in the presence of Jesus.
  • In hope that sends a shining ray
  • Far down the future’s broadn’g way
  • Focus on who you are walking with, rather than what you’re waiting for.
  • Develop a passion for your work that is not dependent on the reward.
  • He did it not by his own power, but by the power of the Holy Spirit and by the presence of Jesus in his daily life.
  • O Master let me walk with Thee... every moment of every day.
